To delete cached copies of previously viewed web pages , use the following directions.

Netscape

To clear your cache in Netscape Navigator versions 3.0x:
  • Open Netscape
  • Select "Options" from the menu bar.
  • Select "Network Preferences," then click on the "Cache" tab.
  • Clear both Memory and Disk cache.

    To clear your cache in Netscape Communication versions 4.0x and 6.1x:

  • Open Netscape
  • Click on the "Edit" menu of your browser
  • Select "Preferences..."
  • Click on the + to the left of Advanced in the selection "tree"
  • Click on "Cache" in the "tree"
  • On the right side of the window, click on the buttons to clear both Memory and Disk cache.
  • Internet Explorer

  • Close all open browsers
  • Click the "Start" button, and select "settings > Control Panel"
  • Choose "Internet Options"
  • Select the 'General' tab
  • Look for 'Temporary Internet files'
  • Select Delete Files
  • Select OK also to Delete all offline content
  • Also, click "Clear History"
  • When it asks "delete all items in your History folder? , click "OK"
  • Click "OK"

    Don't forget them darn cookies !

  • Go to your "Start" menu, found on your task bar.
  • Select the "Search" or "Find" option, and "Files or Folders"
  • Type in Cookies in the search box and make sure that your hard drive (usually C is selected in the "look in" field
  • Once it has pulled up the list of files and folders it has found, find the folder named "Cookies" and double click it.
  • Lastly, delete all the files that have the word "eBay" in them.
  • You have now trashed your cookies!

    To view a 'fresh page' from a web server

    Press and hold CTRL, then 'refresh' your browser window or click F5


    The above should be done on a regular basis anyway, and get you off to a clean start if you have 'problems'.
